Do ad servers and publishers actually accept streaming links?

Yes — IAB and AdForm. From the ad server's perspective, it's a standard tag or URL — indistinguishable from any other delivery. Publishers actually prefer it because the link never changes, which means fewer re-delivery requests and fewer support tickets on their end.

What if someone pushes the wrong creative live?
